The Stotesbury Cup Regatta will take place May 15 - May 16, 2026, in Philadelphia, PA, on the Schuylkill River. Visit the Stotesbury Cup Regatta Website to learn more about this event.

Important Dates:


  • (Date is TBA ) Forms Turn-In night. Please bring the forms highlighted in yellow in the Forms Packet to this event. We will be accepting payment through Sports Plus (Credit Card or ACH transfer) or check.  Registration for this event will be done through Sports Plus 
  • May 13 (7:30-9:00 p.m.) - Luggage Check night. Please bring your athlete's luggage and final forms to this event. This includes medication permissions, both prescription and OTC, so please ensure that you have the requisite doctor sign-off for any prescription medications. 
  • Thursday, May 14 - The team departs for Stotes. We will depart from WSHS on Thursday morning and go straight to the river to practice before checking into the hotel. We typically stop at Maryland House en route for a rest and snack break.  
  • Friday, May 15 - Stotes Time Trials for qualification to row in Saturday Finals. Parents: If you only have one day that you can attend Stotes, this is the day you are most likely to see your athlete on the water. 
  • Saturday, May 16 - Finals for Stotes and return to WSHS. 


The Forms Packet must be completed and returned to the team along with check payment in order for your athlete to participate at Stotes . The packet consists of forms and check payment that will be provided at the Forms Turn-In night held April 30 (highlighted in yellow in the packet), along with forms that will be provided at Luggage Check-In on May 14 (highlighted in green in the packet). Please be aware that any prescription medication will require doctor sign-off - please allow time to acquire any necessary signatures. The Stotesbury Information Night Presentation is also attached to this email for additional information.

Lodging
The team will be staying at The Best Western Philadelphia-Pennsauken. We have stayed here in the past and have a good relationship with the hotel. The team has a reserved block of rooms for which lodging expenses are included in the athlete cost for Stotes - there is no need to reserve your athlete's room since they are included in the team block of rooms. We also have a reserved block of rooms available for parents/families/spectators who would like to stay at the same hotel as the team. Please be aware that priority in this block of rooms is given to chaperones - if we have to deconflict reservations to ensure chaperones have a room we will let you know ASAP. If you are unable to reserve a room with our blocked reservation, please reach out to Tara McClure, who assists our team as a travel agent. Her contact information is: taramcclure73@gmail.com. For athletes, rooms will be assigned according to boat and there will be four athletes to a room.

Meals
We will provide catered meals to the team which is included in the Stotes cost per athlete. This will include Thursday dinner at the hotel,  breakfasts Friday and Saturday at the hotel, Friday lunch at the river and dinner at Splitz Bowling Alley, and Saturday lunch at the river. Please know that the team has a private room reserved at Splitz and we have patronized this location in the past - it is a wonderful venue and the team has had a wonderful time here. If your athlete has a dietary concern, please let us know so that I may coordinate with our caterer who can provide for gluten free, etc. with alternative options available. Attending family members may also pre-purchase meals (link will be provided).
