Interest Meeting

At Spartan Spree, we had LOTS of families show interest in Spartan Crew. Our interest meeting provides more detailed information for interested families and offers students hands-on activities to get to know our team. Help us share why being a part of Spartan Crew is so great! Returning families and athletes: Your presence is vital. Let's come together to welcome our newest teammates, share our experiences, and ensure they feel supported and fully informed.
Participation Intent Questionnaire MANDATORY
REQUIRED: Planning for the upcoming season is heavily dependent on the number of athletes we expect to participate. Please complete the 2-question intent questionnaire so we’ll know if you are planning on returning to Spartan Crew for the 26-27 school year or not.
25-26 Season Survey
REQUESTED: Returning families! To help us continually strengthen our team community, please take a few moments to complete our annual survey. Your feedback gives leadership clear insight into what is working well and where we can make meaningful improvements for future seasons.
Please note that we have added a few new questions this year. These are designed to benchmark our program against the FCPS athletics participation expectations included in this year's WSHS Athletic registration. Thank you for your time and dedication to our team!
Registration/Sign up for Fall Rowing & Winter Conditioning - NOW OPEN
📢SIGN UP REQUIRED: (NOVICE & RETURNING) Sign up for the FREE Spartan Crew Learn to Row, Returning Athlete Green Days & Winter Conditioning! Registration adds athletes and caregivers to our team communication loop.
REMINDER: Returning Athletes need to register too.
NOTE: Team Fees only apply to the Spring on-the-water registration that opens in November.
📃DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: FCPS requires all students to complete the WSHS Athletic Registration and upload a current VHSL Physical before participating in any athletic activities or tryouts. Please submit your documentation as soon as possible to ensure eligibility.
🛟SWIM TEST (NOVICE ONLY)
Evaluation Details: Swim Test Certificate
Mandatory Evaluation for NEW Rowers & Coxswains! Testing takes place at South Run Recreation Center on the following dates: (3 pm-4 pm) Sept 20, Sept 27, Jan 10, and Feb 21. Athletes may arrive anytime during the scheduled hour to complete the 10-minute Swim test.

2026 Fall Rowing Schedule
The team will follow last year’s schedule. Returning athletes will first help set up the boats and get in some dedicated practice time apart from the Spartan Crew Learn to Row. We highly encourage all returning athletes to join the Learn to Row sessions to help welcome our novice teammates.
