How to Join Spartan Crew

Welcome to Spartan Crew

Register with WSHS Athletics

FCPS requires this before any athletic participation

All Athletes must complete the WSHS Athletics registration every school year.
(See tips & tricks for more information)

Have an Up-to-Date Physical

This is an FCPS requirement before any athletic participation. Each physical is good for 14months.

All athletes must submit the completed VHSL Physical form
Please send ONLY pages 1-3 to the WSHS Athletic Trainer, Chris Worrell, CWorrell@fcps.edu

Swim Test

New Rowers and New Coxswains ONLY will need to complete a Swim Test before going on the water for Learn-to-Row or the Spring Racing Season.
Swim tests for the Fall Learn-to-Row season will be held at South Run Recreational Facility for several weekends in the fall. Dates will be listed here when scheduled.
Swim tests for the Spring season will be scheduled for one weekend in January and one weekend in February.

If you can not make these days, please email Spartan Crew Admin for alternatives.

Create or Update a Spartan Rowing Account

This places you on our roster and communication system, and is where you will pay dues for the Spring Season.

No dues are required for Learn-to-Row or Winter Workouts

Please sign up for our interest form on the website's Home Page to receive emails about upcoming registrations.
No cost, Fall Learn-to-Row/Green Days, and Winter Workouts registration will open near the start of the school year.
Spring Rowing Registration will open in November.

Transportation

Watch here for a link to a form to sign up for carpools to the Sandy Run Boathouse for Learn-to-Row and for the Spring Practice season.
Please contact the Spartan Transportation Coordinator if you need assistance. We want to make sure that everyone has a ride to practice.

Tips & Tricks

WSHS Registration:
- If you have registered for another sport, you can edit your registration and add crew.
  - Click on the above WSHS Athletic registration link
  - Click Login in the upper right corner
  - Log in to your account
  - Click on registrations, middle left, your Athlete's registration will be listed below
  - If you select the dropdown on the right, you can edit and add crew
WSHS Physical
- Emailing your physical to Mr. Worrell seems to work out better than physically dropping off your physical with the athletic trainer's office.
